Happy Publication Day, Dune Road…
Dune Road out today, and another fun-packed day. Taking Eldest Daughter to buy glasses this morning, then off to twins scavenger hunt at beach. Cooking more vegan chili for my unwell friend, painting deck if rain holds off, attempting to find time to wash my hair in preparation for tonight’s reading at Westport’s Barnes & Noble.
Oh, and I may scribble down some notes on the new book.

So you don’t get to eat bon-bons on a release day? Are you telling me that my glamor fantasies of getting my novel published are based on false pretenses? That my real life doesn’t stop for the day and let me bask in the glow of success? Hmm… maybe I need to re-think this writer thing.
It’s honest information like this that, number one, is why we fans adore you Jane and , number two, is so valuable for emerging writers like me to hear. That post alone is worth several issues of Writer’s Digest. Have a great day!

Cogratulations on publication day! I got an email from Amazon that my copy is on it’s way too! It will be my treat for this weekend. If you add more days to the tour please come south. Atlanta has a lot of readers.

Im really looking forward to my copy of Girl Friday or what you in the US call Dune Road. Im in the UK and ordered my copy off amazon as soon as i saw it cause i was so excited that Jane was publishing another book. It came last friday and i wanted so much to read it but had already started reading Straight Talking and wanted to save my brand new hardback book for my holidays in August. I have read nearly all of Janes books and have got all bar one. I love them so much and lately when i have been doing my A-level exams it has been such a nice release to just sit and read a good book like Straight Talking to get away from all the revision. Just wanted to say thank you so much Jane I love, LOVE your books!!! xx

I bought Girl Friday a couple of weeks ago and then had to wait 3 days before reading it as I went to Paris - but it was a great way to get over the post-holiday blues!
I’m not going to comment on the plot of the book as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but rest assured, it’s another fantastic read to devour, with characters you feel you could go to dinner with and a couple of mysteries you’ll enjoy trying to solve ahead of the pages.
Thoroughly enjoyed it - hurry hurry hurry with the next one Jane. No pressure

I am a teacher in need of some light-hearted, but juicy summer reading. I’m a huge fan of Mary Kay Andrews books, but she hasn’t come out with any new titles. Prior to my trip to Mexico, I went to Borders and found The Beach House. I read the book so quickly. As a Connecticut resident, I love the fact that parts took place here; I got so excited when I learned the characters were from towns near me! I’ve never been to Nantucket, but have a painting of it above my mantle. Jane’s book brought me right there so that I felt I was in the book, and with all the sensory details, I visualized it to look like that painting on my wall. Anyway Jane, you made my trip to Mexico even better !I also purchased Second Chance and can’t wait to take it poolside this week.
