The most exciting thing about moving

 The most exciting thing about moving (other than having a view you only just realised you have spent your entire life dreaming about), is…decorating! Most of my readers know I’m a frustrated interior designer/cook/domestic goddess, and there’s nothing, absolutely nothing I love more than decorating a new house. I don’t believe in new furniture unless absolutely necessary – all of our furniture has been collected over many years, all of it has a story, all of it is loved, but some of it (thank you cats) is in dire need of re-covering. And I’m ready for some color…there was clearly a reason why my book covers were pink all those years.
